Don't miss your chance to purchase a raffle ticket for the 2013 .375 H&H Winchester Rifle!

Jack O'Connor's favorite "African Rifle"

Jack's original .375 H&H magnum, based on a pre-64 model 70 Winchester and built by Al Biesen over 60 years ago, has been carefully recreated by Al's son Roger Biesen of Spokane, Washington. Jack's original .375 was completed in 1960 and was a replacement for a Griffin & Howe custom model 70 .375 that Jack gave to his professional hunter, John Kingsley-Heath, at the conclusion of a successful 1959 Tanzania Safari. The rifle was stocked with a piece of Iranian Walnut that Jack received as a gift from his friend Prince Abdorrezza Pahlavi (The Shah of Iran). Jack used the rifle on several safaris and it was featured in several "Outdoor Life" stories. The rifle is currently owned by Jack's old friend, Bob Lee.

The 2013 rifle will be the first of three rifles built, one year through 2015. Each rifle will be nearly identical, differing only in wood and engraving.

About the rifle:

• Built by Roger Biesen
• Engraved by Paula Biesen-Malicki
• Stocked in deluxe French walnut with ebony   for-end tip, checkered in Fleur-de-lis-pattern,
  24 lines per inch
• Biesen pistol grip cap engraved with
  cape buffalo
• Leupold bases and rings with Leupold 1.5x5   VX111 scope donated by Leupold
• Pre-64 model barreled action, Biesen floor
plate and trigger guard modified for 5 round
  capacity and engraved.
